LUMIPro Featured In Imagine!

Here at LUMIPro World Headquarters, we recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Imagine Magazine. We talked about how we got started, our favorite features, and even shared a few hints about future updates! For the interview portion, Stefan and I were able to meet with one of our longtime users, ραятєє мчтιLι (Parthenea). Stefan also shared some of his photography with the Imagine team, and we had an amazing time shooting with Imagine Magazine’s very own Cesare Drucker.

You can pick up your own copy of Imagine Magazine on their Marketplace or at various locations throughout Second Life, including Naturally Naughty.

Stefan and I are thrilled to be part of this issue, and we can’t wait to share even more with you in the coming days about LUMIPro’s future. A huge thank‑you to the entire Imagine Magazine team for having us!

Photo Contest Time With LUMIPro And The Isle Of Elar!

Hello, my lovelies! It has been s while since I have chatted with my favorite people so I thought I would bring you something exciting. LUMIPro has partnered Elar by Dominant Elegance to bring you a photo contest!

Elar is a beautiful steampunk-themed sim with a BDSM flair! It is quickly becoming one of my favorite places. I thought I would let the owner Shayn Mackenzie tell you more...

"A short history of The Isle of Elar. It was founded by a group of BDSM practitioners that were fleeing persecution because of their chosen lifestyle.  They happened on a small island in the mouth of a dormant volcano. Beneath the island is a labyrinth of steam vents that the city's inhabitants were able to harness to create a city powered by the natural steam provided by the heat trapped within the volcano. The architecture of the city reflects both the founders' love of art and their desire to further their practice of BDSM. Throughout the city, you will find many buildings that beckon for a photographer's eye.  A great deal of time and effort has been devoted to the creation of Isle of Elar and it's intended level of detail. We call ourselves Elarians and welcome your visit to our fine city. We only ask that while here you dress either in Steampunk attire or something equally dressy in nature. We welcome humans, vampires, nekos and those with anthropomorphic avatars."

And now for the fun part... Contest details!

**Contest Rules & FAQ**

1.  Who is eligible to enter?

Anyone.  The contest is open to anyone who would like to join. The only requirement is that you follow our rules and be a member of Dominant Elegance. Entering is free.

2.  What is the contest time period?

The contest will commence on the March 15th, 2020 and run until April 15th, 2020

3.  How will winners be notified?

Winners will be announced via notice in the Dominant Elegance group and contacted individually upon close of the contest.  The winning pictures will be displayed in the Emporium upon completion of the contest.  Additionally, we will be making a selection of noteworthy works to also be displayed in the Emporium.  All artists with work displayed will be notified prior to the grand opening of the Gallery.

4.  What are the prizes?

First Place:  A gift certificate for a LUMIPro
Second Place:  3,000 L$
Third Place: 1,500 L$

5.  How will we determine the winners?

The winners will be chosen by an anonymous panel of five judges.

6.  Where do the pictures need to be taken?

All pictures need to be taken on the Isle of Elar, including the inside of buildings to qualify for the contest. Submitted pictures that fail to comply fully with this will be disqualified.  This is a great opportunity to explore the many unique places for photography throughout the city.  All photos may contain nudity, but if clothed, the pictures must follow the rules of attire for the sim.  This is a steampunk sim. Your photos should reflect that or our culture of BDSM.  If you can do both, it will go a long way in originality for your photos.

7.  May I rez things for the photos?

Yes, as always, visitors to the Isle of Elar may rez objects, but please remember to pick any items you rez.

8.  May I use post-editing for the photos?

Yes, you may use any software at your disposal as well as inworld lighting.  Do not think that if you are not able to post edit the photos that you will automatically lose.  We are looking at content as major criteria for the photos.  We are choosing a total of 20 pictures to be displayed in the gallery.

9.  How do I submit pictures?

All pictures will be submitted to the "Isle of Elar Photo Contest" Flickr group.  Please add your Second Life name to the description section of the photo

This contest is going to be a lot of fun! Here are some sim shots to give you a little peek...

This is just a taste be sure you go check out the sim!

*** As she walks into the room there are several men and women putting up lights, arranging seating, and placing decorations. Her red dress sparkles in the glow of the Christmas lights as she turns looking around the room with excitement in her eyes. Spotting it behind her she gives you a big smile. ***

Why hello there! As you all can see we are busy at work getting ready for LUMIPro's holiday party! Since you're here when I share some of the details? We are so excited to not only be putting on a party this year but to be also giving away gift cards from some of Second Life's best creators! Normally we do a LUMIPro release party around this time of year, but since we launched LUMIPro 18 earlier this year Stefan and I decided we couldn't leave you guys with the holiday party. Here are the details...

LUMIPro For The Holidays!

*** She walks in carrying both an apple and pumpkin pie. She sits them on the desk then goes to a cabinet to grab plates and forks. Taking her seat she motions everyone over. ***

Hello Everyone! Feel free to grab a slice of pie and a seat. The holiday season is here, and I thought that I would share some information about LUMIPro with everyone.

What is LUMIPro?

LUMIPro is a professional grade lighting tool and yet easy to start using the day you buy it.
•    Fine control of lighting and shadows
•    Ability to pose yourself and/or all your models and groups as large as 10
•    Ability to save your scene lighting, camera, pose, and eye position and restore it on another day, even with different models
•    Shoot anywhere without rez even on no-script sims.  Great for product designers and bloggers
•    Hold 100s of your own purchased or created animation or use over 180 animations and exclusive mocaps from some of the grid’s best designers
•    Updates are always FREE for life

Since I purchased my LUMIPro in 2013 I have seen some amazing work created by various artists. I am always in awe of the work people create using LUMIPro. Let me share just a few with everyone...

These photos barely scratch the surface of what LUMIPro users have created. To see more check out the LUMIPro Flickr Group. You can also find us on Marketplace. Here are some of the reviews you will find...

I've been doing pictures for a couple of years now...this is definitely a game changer. I've used this so much since purchasing it. LOVE!

Love it!!!!

Had to get this after a friend showed me the difference in her pics before and after and was amazed! Love the how the lighting makes my photos look, and SO many different ways to use shadows, the storage space is wonderful for all my poses, no more going through a ton of folders and the free animations were an extra added bonus! A must have for frequent pic takers!

Awesome Photo Lighting System!!
Posted July 17, 2017 by CarlWeed 5 stars
LUMIPro is by far, the best lighting system in SL for photography that I have found. I have several other photo studio systems but none have the capabilities that LUMIPro has for lighting control with color, intensity, positioning, casting shadows, etc. for your photo shoots. The biggest selling feature to me is having the ability to take your lighting anywhere in SL and use it, including the no-rez areas of SL. I wanted to get out of my portrait studio but proper lighting was a problem. Now I have great lighting anywhere I shoot in SL! Other bonuses of the system are being able to control multiple models from the HUD without having to instruct them to move or change positions or anything. The system has many great built in poses (not the cheap ones either) that will get you going in no time with very professional looking photos. The eye control system is also another great tool to assist in getting those eyes just right for your shot.
If you are serious about capturing great professional photos in SL, this photo lighting system is well worth the investment. It will be the last one you will ever buy I think. The one tip I would give anyone who buys this system and does not have previous experience with earlier versions of LUMIPro is... take maybe 30 minutes or so of your time and watch all of the great video tutorials on their website. They run through many of the features, as there are many, and they will give you a much better understanding of what all you can do with this system without a lot of reading. I had never used LUMIPro before and this is what I did after I purchased it. Within no time, I was off and shooting some great photos with this system.
My hats off to the creator and developer of this system. Nice job!!

Now that you know more' why not try LUMIPro for yourself? You can try a fully functional demo at LUMIPro's World Headquarters.

We hope that you have a wonderful and safe holiday season. If you have any questions or need any assistance don't hesitate to contact me, Samantha Ansar-Buscaylet (SamoanHoneyPot Resident). Until next time... Happy Shooting!

Avi Choice Nominations and Spotlights!

*** As she ushers you into the room she removes her glasses from her face, and she wipes them clean with the hem of her skirt. She places her glasses back on her face before speaking. ***

I am so happy that everyone could make it today, I thought I would start the month of October with two very exciting things. The first thing I want to talk about is the Avi Choice Awards. This year will be the final award show! LUMIPro has been lucky enough, thanks to everyone's help, to win the award for Favorite Photography/Media Tool two years running. We could not have done it without you guys! It would make me super ecstatic if we could surprise Stefan with another win this year, the first we need to do is get nominated... This is where all you awesome people come in! To help us get on the ballot click this link and just fill out the form. You do not have to pick a nominee for each category, our category is close to the bottom of the form. They will be taking nominations until the 12th of October. I cannot express to you how much your continued love and support means to us! If you need any help or have any questions don't hesitate to contact me in world.

I am so excited about everything to come I decided that this blog post needed something a little more, so it's time for a... LUMIPro Spotlight!

I'm always so amazed when I get a chance to sit down and look at everyone's work. You guys do such a great job! I am just glad I get to watch you all growing changes artists. Congratulations to today's spotlights!

Also don't forget to nominate, nominate, nominate! Until next time... Happy Shooting!

*** Getting up she slowly makes her way to the door as she reaches it she turns back to everyone and gives a wink. ***

And The Winners Are...

*** Walks along the beach her feet leaving footprints in the sand as she carries a large stack of photos. Setting them down she ties a rope along the stage afterwards she starts pinning the photos along the rope. After a few minutes she notices a group of people forming behind her. ***

Hello everyone! Sorry I didn't see you there. I thought I would take a moment and reintroduce you guys to not only the winners of the Fun in the Sun Photo Hunt but the semi-finalists as well. It was so difficult for the panel of judges to choose, because everyone did such a wonderful job. People's creativity never ceases to amaze me! Before introducing the winners I would like to take a moment and send a thank you to our co-sponsors, Strokerz Toyz and the Hard Alley Social Club. We are so grateful for their support! Now unto the winners...

 Grand Prize: Renee Portland

 First Prize: Nicasio Ansar

Second Prize: Razor Cure

 Third Prize: Harper Lexington

 Honorable Mention: Marina Medeiros

Congratulations to our winners! I think you all did a wonderful job! To receive your prizes, or for any questions, please contact Samantha Ansar-Buscaylet. I don't always display the semi-finalists but with so many great photos I can't help myself! I am excited to show you guys...

Everyone did such an amazing job! It made me so happy such a level of participation!

*** Turning to the crowd she suddenly gets a very serious look on her face. She adjusts her glasses before speaking again. ***

I never like to get too serious when we do fun things like this, but I felt it was important to talk to you guys. I wanted to let everyone know that some of the winners had to be adjusted due to a few disqualifications. There was also a rumor started about the contest. I want to reassure everyone that any rumors are completely fabricated. Bringing you guys not only fun but fair events is important to us as well as our co-sponsors. Like any contest in Real Life or Second Life not everyone can always ''win'', but isn't part of the fun getting to share your work with the community? I would hope that if anyone ever had questions or concerns they would contact me. We really would like to continue to do events like this in the future. Well enough of that...

Once again congratulations to our winners and semi-finalists! I will see you guys soon. Until next time... Happy Shooting!
